Bye English III

In this semester in my second year studying psychology, I studied English at level 3 and surprisingly had a good time with the subject, because I stay with my friends that also took the course, for this reason the time in the class it became very short. In previous years when studied english was very boring and stressful, because I don't like the english, maybe now this is changing :) 

In the school my esperience with the English was so bad ! the teachers changed all the time, I don't know why but this obstuct my learning about english, so I never took seriously this subject. My knowledge of the language in the school is very poor, but since the University I learned a lot of english, now I can converse in english!  it is  wonderful. 

I expect that in the next semester when take the course English at level 4, my knowledge about the language increased in reference to the present. 

And advice for people that don't like the english, give him a chance!!!

Pychology of Personality

I´m a student of Psychology at the University of Chile and my favourite subject is Pychology of Personality, I had this subject in the second semester and was very important for keep studying Psychology. Nowadays I´m assistant in this subject because I want to enrich my knowledge about this topic.

Psychology of Personality treat about essential components of personality and obviously about his story and changes over time. I believe that all students of Psychology must be clear about the contents of this subject. I like it the theory of Foucault and Winnicott because they are perspectives most critical than authors of this issue. 

This subject it is related to psychoanalysis, because it is the  basic knowledge in this areas, because you need to know the various structures of  personalities of people and then so be able to work in the clinical area, because the structures of personalities ther are very misleading and easy to confuse, make a mistake in identifying the structures of personality of a person cause a wrong diagnosis. For this is a very important branch in the training of psychologists.

Michel Foucault

Foucault is a French psychologist and philosopher, he was born in October in 1926 and died in 1984 with 57 years old. The work of Michel Foucault have influence in important persons of Science Social, he be cooperated in different areas like the psychiatric, medicine, psychology, etc.   

The most important about Foucault for me like a student of psychology his contribution bring the clinical birth, because I consider his study about the area clinical relevant for the psychologist, because we need know about the criticize of the area clinical, because in this way could be a better professionals. Recognize this criticize permit release a therapy most complete about the patient, considering that let sideways the prejudice in the diagnostic of the patient and carry out a therapy more objective.

I knew of Michel Foucault, because I study Psychology and have a signature called "Personality psychology" and here I learned about the criticize of Foucault about the area clinical and in this moment I loved his discourse, because I making sense the power into a science like the psychology who divide the people in normal and abnormal.   

 My cousin's oath 

The last weekend my family from Temuco came because my cousin Natalia had to make the oath in the Corte Suprema de Chile. She is 26 years and recently licensed of law. In my home my parents were really excited for the visitors, they were all the week make ready the house for receive the new visitors.The waited day be arrive, the last Friday gone a celebration day. My mom go fast for the house attend to invited and my father talked with anyone in the home. 

Like a good Friday, I came late to my home because most of time I stay with my friends in the University spend time together. Then I came when the party be started, my mom be unpleasant with my, but I understand because I have to came more early. 

Anyway the party for my cousin's was wonderful! she feelings very happy and lucky for decided celebrate her oath front the Corte Suprema (the last step of her degree) with my family in Santiago. I have a fantastic weekend with the all family assembled in my home.  

The animal more human...

Gregory Colbert is a photographer with a project dedicate of the pictures in expeditions in Egipto, India, Burma, Kenia,Tonga and Namidia. I loved his pictures, because are beautiful and I experiment a trip for the word, when I see specifically this photography. Always I been love of the elephants, is far the only animal more wonderful and beauty that I acquaintance. This picture was taken in 1992 for Gregory Colbert in India and represent the culture in that place, with the boy reading to the elephant and the peace among they. Colbert try to discover the word where the animals and human life happy in harmony, for this Gregory called that picture " the animal more human" he says: the pictures show a word  that not have beginning nor end, nor past nor present. I liked this type of picture, because this I transport to better place that wish visit.  

My iPhone 

Definitely my iphone is my favorite piece of technology, because always check my phone in the day and is very important for my reunions of a work or for study. I'm a forgetful person then I need my phone for remember someone things. Also ckeck my Iphone for chat with my friends, because I use principally social network like the application called whatsapp or facebook, in this way frequently maintain contact with my family and friends.  I like it use my phone for anyone thing because is very useful, since running until search something in google for example. The phone nowadays is like bring a computer in your pocket all the day in anywhere place, and for this reason that is very popular in the people today have a phone. I'm not a technological person, but the phone is very important for my quotidian life and I grateful for have a phone. 

Why Psychology?

In the secondary I don't know who career prefer for study, even in the moment of send the application for the University about the three career that I prefer for study, I was really confused about who career chose, but I decide risk, and I'm happy about this decision because until today don't be regret, I love study Psychology, and you ask why? because is a career wonderful, where you always could be find interesting things about the people, include about you. 

The Psychology is a career with varied discipline for interest of each person, since behaviorism whom is a discipline more scientific dedicate to investigations, until the psychoanalysis for example that discipline is more subjective because be dedicate at the study of the unconscious, in my opinion the psychoanalysis is a discipline very interesting for the study, because always find things amazing about the mind of people.        

I imagine work as a psychologist, still I don't know in whom field of psychology, but I will consider work in the field social or clinical. But still remain three years for decide about this, now I prefer enjoy the experience of the University :) 

Legal abortion

The abortion always is a controvertial topic, in my country specifically is a taboo topic, because Chile is a country very conservative, even the political classify the abortion as illegal act.  This topic recently be reflexible for the people, especially in the old people that not consider change his opinion although the most people of the country be change his position of the topic of legal abortion.

Recently the legal abortion is change in my country, but still is consider a illegal act. The government today, in the year 2016 is change the political bring the abortion. In my opinion, I think that the topic of abortion have to change right now, if want called a developed country don't can consider as illegal the abortion that include the rights of people specifically of women's, them that's the take a important decision like this, because is your body, is your pregnant, and in your abdomen is where will be life, not  in the body of other people.

Even the abortion in Chile this is an issue that needs to be considered again, because this country stop it already with the conservative ideal. Is time for a change, this change have to begin in the mind of the people, the change begin for you !!!

My name is Sofía Toro, I'm 19 years old.  I live in Santiago of Chile in the commune of Puente Alto, I live with my parents and my eldest brother, I have a beautiful pet  called Toro, I rescued in the commune of Cerrillos in october the last year,  he is very loving and playful whit me. I study Psychology at the University of Chile, I´m in the second year of my career and I´m very happy with my choise.

Since childhood I began to practice Judo, until this day I keep  practicing this martial art; today I´m a part of the selection of Judo in my University, and in that place I have met many friends who have the same lifestyle that me.
